I came home with an orchid, not knowing it was a bucket variety. It grew into a fine specimen as healthy as the ones I saw at the botanical garden in Michigan.
The (tubular) stems, grow and form the bucket on the end.
The tube fills the bucket with fluid. If you take the bucket and turn it upside down, water will pour out.
The liquid doesn’t kill flies,
just a sweet treat for bees, before they leave with pollen.
It needs a good water source.
I use multiple pots so it can sit in water and soak it up as needed.
